I go out of my way to not watch the news very often. In general, it's entirely politically biased and that pissed me off to no end. However, I do think it is important to know the state of the world and what not so I try to catch the headlines with my blinders on. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? Am I the only one who has noticed this unbelievable trend of fathers killing their whole families? Brothers beheading their sisters? Children being thrown over bridges and onto highways and into rivers? Seriously???? I know this kind of thing happens on occasion but it seems to be the thing to do lately.
Some days I have absolutely no faith in humanity.

i avoid the news as well. i don't even try to glance at headlines, it's just too darn depressing.

This is why I avoid the news, especially when my kids are around because Gracie is at a stage now where she understands what they are talking about...and I'm not sure about other places, but in the Boston area it seems the crime rates involving children being abused and/or killed are skyrocketing. It's just so depressing.
